I think that this story was interesting but I was skeptical about using the brain to move robots as the brain controls the muscles and the brain is also where all your memories are stored. This would mean that the brains would still have their memories allowing them to remember who they are and then allowing them to rebel.

Shade's Children by Garth Nix
Shade's Children by Garth Nix is a Science fiction novel where modern day
society has been replaced by Overlords. These Overlords have used humans to
create armies of robots by taking the brains and muscled of teenagers and then
installing them into these. The story revolves around a boy who has escaped
this system with a special talent and then joining others who also have escaped
under the [AI] Shade.
I think that this story was interesting but I was skeptical about using the brain to move robots as the brain controls the muscles and the brain is also where all your memories are stored. This would mean that the brains would still have their memories allowing them to remember who they are and then allowing them to rebel.
