'2001 A Space Odyssey' is a Science Fiction novel written by Arthur C. Clarke. This book was written alongside a movie made by his partner Stanley Kubrick. It happens in the near distant future where the first evidence of other intelligent life is found beyond Earth. It is found in a monolith on the moon.
I believe that this may very much be possible but I believe that the fact that remnants of alien technology are found on the moon is not even remotely likely. I believe in intelligent life beyond our Solar System but I don't believe that it is in our Solar System.
This books shows a different conceptualization to our universe. That we are not alone and that something stange happened in our evolution.
I recommend this book to the rest of my class because it makes you think about what man will do to try to acomplish its goals.
If you like this, watch 'Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World' on Youtube. They are a little dated now in terms of special effects, but the plots and ideas are really interesting. You should also check out the Stanley Kubrick film verson of this book- it is incredible.
